Is it a Blanket or a Quilt?

I drive by this everyday when I go to work. I cringe when I think it might be a quilt that somebody made; that somebody put their heart into. I snapped a photo and then started wondering if it could be a blanket made to look like a patchwork quilt. That's what I think I'll tell myself.

  1. Could be one of the printed panels but I don't see a repeat to the pattern.

  2. I have quilts that are tacked up on my fence and another draped over a rocker on the front porch. They are quilts that I made when I was learning - not my best work, but they have a great life making my outside as quilty as my inside *s*

  3. I'd keep telling myself that. I'd hate to think of that being a quilt that someone pieced and quilted only to lie over a piece of furniture on a porch exposed to the elements.

  4. I'm not sure which that is. I do like Libby's quilts she's shown outside at her house.

  5. Oh, I know what you're saying. There is a house in the little town I live near that has one hanging on their front porch. It drives me batty, but I've finally decided it is their quilt and I suppose they can do with it as they wish. Maybe they have 100 more inside that they take care of?

  7. I'm thinking it must be a printed panel as well. I do love seeing quilts draped over fences and chairs.

  10. It's so sweet of you to be concerned about the maker of whatever this is. Let's say it's a blanket. Maybe an old bedspread?
